A Nostalgic Journey Back to Classic Gaming The Retro Gaming Console brings back the magic of classic titles like Super Mario Bros., Aladdin, and Atari. With a sleek design and easy setup, it’s a plug-and-play device that offers immediate access to a library of nostalgic games. The HDMI output ensures crisp visuals, though it retains that iconic pixelated charm. For retro gaming enthusiasts, this console delivers hours of fun at an affordable price, making it a must-have for any collection.

Definitely the most bang for your buck! Bought this for our Airbnb as an added fun amenity and have been test driving it the past few days to see how well it functions. It’s actually SUPER fun and has WAY more games than I expected! All of my favorite games from childhood! I’m going to order another one for our house! It works great and haven’t had any issues so far with the games Iv played on it as far as lag and glitching.

What a blast from the past! Remember those games you used to play when you were young? Remember how good you were at them? Well, this device will humble you immediately! There are so many systems emulated and so many games that chances are very good that what you remember playing is there just waiting for you! The instructions were clear but not terribly necessary as the setup is super easy. Once you open the box and take everything out, you will be gaming in under 5 minutes. The controllers seemed sturdy enough and that they will hold together over time. The main box for the games can be easily hidden behind a TV or computer monitor without issue. Overall, for the price, you really can't go wrong with this. While the current generation of games is all about graphics and pushing the boundaries of what can be done, these games are just plain-out fun and bring you back to your childhood.

So much fun, but decision fatigue is real.Good A LOT of games Ability to save the progress of some games Bad Some games are suspect Arcade games do not align with the TV properly Navigating to the game can be choice overload. This is an arcade "console" that emulates over 20 thousand games via EmuELEC (you can find more info about it if you look it up on github). To be exact are 20129 games included, however there are many versions of the same game. e.g. about 90 versions of Street Fighter on different emulated platforms The date range I can see range from Atari 2600 VCS games from 1977 to Mighty! Pang and Driver 2 from 2000 (only 25 years ago!). The platforms included are: arcade (arcade favorites) atari2600 (Atari 2600) atari5200 (Atari 5200) atari7800 (Atari 7800) atarilynx (Atari Lynx) cps1 (Capcom play system 1) cps2 (Capcom play system 2) cps3 (Capcom play system 3) fbneo (FinalBurn Neo) gamegear (Sega Game Gear) gb (Nintendo Game Boy) gba (Nintendo Game Boy Advance) gbc (Nintendo Game Boy Color) genesis (Sega Genesis - North America) mame (Multi Arcade Game Emulator) megadrive (Sega Megadrive - Outside of North America) nes (Nintendo Entertainment system) nesh (NES hacks, unoffical versions) ngpc (NeoGeo Pocket Color) pcengine (PC Engine) psx (Playstation) sfc (Super Famicom - Japan) snes (Super Nintendo - US & Europe) Most, but not all of these will have a screenshot of the game. Some will not match at all. Some appear to be unofficial versions with non-trademarked names such as 1991 Marble Madness is named "Crazy Ball". Or "Super Plumber" instead of Super Mario. "Crazy Wolf" is actually Crash Bandicoot. You are able to browse the list in each section with up or down with the controller one at a time. Left and right will browse one page at a time. Hold it down and it'll increase speed. There is a search ability but is a bit clunky without a keyboard or mouse. The ability to favorite any game is useful to get to your favorite games quicker. With this many games you do need fast navigation. Some games were originaly light gun games like Operation Wolf. Playing this with a joystick is very cumbersome and not very playable unfortunately. You can see a crosshair marked next to the name of the game. But there are not many like this. A few games were a bit strange to see such as Sid Meier's Civilization on a SNES. It is very much a game to be played with a mouse as was the DOS and Windows versions. Because there are some games that are completely in Japanese, you're on your own trying to figure it out if you do not know Japanese. The Super Famicom is comparable to the SNES (Super Nintendo) but was only released in Japan. (There are over 3000 Super Famicom games on here, compared to 999 SNES games. Also saw a few in Korean too. One problem does appear to lie with the Arcade games. They appear to be direct arcade roms (not from a console) where you see the ROM checks upon startup. Some of them do not align with the TV frame of a modern LCD (non-CRT/tube) TV. Included in this review are pics of Vulcan Venture and Metal Gear from this section where you can partially see the bottom of the screen. Make's it very hard to change your powerups (integral part of Vulcan Venture) when you can barely see them. I did not find a way to adjust the picture on the Y-axis as it would be possible on an old CRT/tube TV. With the variety of games the control system is mostly the same. Select is insert coin usually. Pressing start on 2nd controller will light up in red, with 1st controller in green to differentiate player 1 & 2. There is an ability to save progress on games which is good for some long games. Description says AAA batteries, this takes two AA batteries per controller. Likely you'll go through a bunch. Summary Whilst there are some downsides with suspect games. On the whole there are lot of gems in there with many hours of play time. You may need to look up some games to figure out what they are exactly and how to play them. But on the whole this is very worthwhile. If you're old enough to have seen some of these games when they were new and have played them, you'll probably get a lot more value out of it than if you have never.
